Laural is a member of Actors' Equity Association and began working in regional theater as an actor at the age of 17. She has done over 20 years of stage work, highlighted by performances as Nora in A DOLL’S HOUSE, Catherine in THE FOREIGNER, Sonya in UNCLE VANYA, Gertrude  in HAMLET, Polly Garter in UNDERMILKWOOD, Linda in DEATH OF A SALESMAN, Kitty Duval in THE TIME OF YOUR LIFE, and Truvy in STEEL MAGNOLIAS, where she co-starred with Rita Moreno as M'Lynn.

Her wealth of acting experience carried over into 16 years of audio book narration, having narrated over 100 titles in all genres; classic, fiction, romance, mystery, fantasy, history, non-fiction and self-improvement. She has worked for the following audio publishers: Brilliance Audio, Simon & Schuster, Tantor Audio, Zondervan, Redwood Audio (Genius Series) and AlphaDVD.

In addition, Laural has directed well over 100 audio titles, also in all genres, providing expertise on both sides of the microphone.

In acknowledgement for years of excellence at her craft, Laural is the recipient of AudioFile Magazine's ‘Earphones Award’ many times over.
